I’m a development practitioner specialized in child and youth programming with a focus on basic education. Driven by the commitment to education for all, I’m passionate about the empowerment of children to expand and achieve their potential through formal and non-formal learning.

I joined BRAC’s office in London in mid-2022 after over seven years of working in East Africa for various INGOs in field, national and regional offices—serving in programmatic, business development and leadership roles. My cross-sectoral experience involved managing programmes for vulnerable children in Tanzania, overseeing a humanitarian portfolio in Somalia and serving as Country Director for CISP in Kenya. Prior to my fieldwork, I worked in various education-focused roles at the UN, NGOs, foundations and universities in Canada, France and the UK. I studied International Development with a specialization in Education Policy at the LSE through an MSc in Development Management (2014). I speak Turkish, English, French and some Kiswahili.

I’m excited to join a mission-driven organization that lives the principles of southern-led development through building mutually empowering partnerships with communities. As the Partnerships Manager for Africa, I support BRAC’s 6 country offices in East and West Africa through building partnerships with European donors, developing proposals for high-impact programming and managing ongoing grants across sectors.
