After spending the majority of my career in the public sector, I was thrilled to join the BRAC UK in mid-2017. My role is to lead the financial and resources management for the BRAC UK team based in London, supporting BRAC to achieve its mission worldwide. This involves developing and managing systems and processes to enable efficient financial management of all BRAC UK organisational finances, and on budgeting, reporting and compliance for the portfolio of restricted funded projects that are managed through the UK office. I work closely with the teams in BRAC and BRAC International (BI) head offices in Bangladesh, and in the Asian and African countries where BI work.

I am a fully qualified accountant, and spent 7 years in senior financial management with the Metropolitan police in London, prior to developing a keen interest in the field of international development finance. I then worked on assignments in Vietnam and in Zambia, through AFid www.afid.org.uk/ who arrange volunteer assignments worldwide for accountants in international development. I now feel privileged to be a part of BRAC’s efforts to rid the world of extreme poverty. Outside of work I love to be out walking or trekking in the mountains, countryside and by the coast, in the UK or overseas, and can usually be found planning my next adventure!
